On a server with .net framework 3.5.1 already enabled, the client install begins and tries to enable the framework and then shoots out an error saying:

I ran it as an administrator. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Does dataporter work in a test environment? If so, how do I get it to show? I have dataporter checked to show on the toolbar, but it does not. Nor can I launch using ALT +F7.
My company is currently running Sage ERP (MAS) 500 version 7.40.2.0 and we are considering upgrading to either version 2014 or 2016. The purpose behind this project is to enable us to upgrade the hardware where we're running the ERP and hosting the database. We're not really after any of the new features. Would you recommend jumping all the way to 2016? Or just sticking with 2014? What problems have people run into when upgrading from 7.4?
A little background: We have 50 concurrent licenses with around 100 people using the applications in a typical day (1,000 employees total). We host the ERP and database onsite. We have a bunch of add-ons and third-party software that talks to the ERP, mostly through APIs.

I have a issue with the Data Import Manager module of the Sage 500 ERP. 2014 The Import Job Progress will become stuck after executing it. After cancelling the import, a message reads the step was canceled. The other message states "Unable to start execution of step 1 (reason: Error authenticating proxy SERVERNAME\MAS_500_Admin, system error: The user name or password is incorrect". After a few more tries, the MAS_500_Admin account locks and may not be logged on to. What can I do to resolve this? I suspect there could be a password I can enter for ERP 500 to use for I do not know what the password might be. Perhaps, the MAS_500_Admin can be recreated somehow?

Right. The log says "Unable to send message".
One of my questions is that other applications we use that interface with email (Knowledgesync and TaskCentre) provide authentication for the sending email account. I see nowhere in Sage 500 to provide a password.

I have tried this on my own machine, and I've tried using the client's SMTP server on their machine, as well as smtp.google.com. All with the same results.
I've opened the outgoing ports in the firewall.
I read in an earlier post that google mail is not supported. Is that still the case?
Sage versions range from 7.3 to 2016.
On the 2016 version, I get an additional Report Engine error: ProcessReport - -2147206398:Memory full. Thought this might be an issue with the form, but if I attempt a print, without engaging document transmittal, the error does not occur.

Sage launches but we are having an issue when trying to access report driven selections. In other words, the specified path in the application.config file which points to a mapped drive (which is mapped correctly) indicates that the report was not found. Any thoughts?
we are setting up a test environment and removed all ODBC connections to Prod, so our problems are limited...but would be nice to disable a user's rights to the advanced options on the login screen.
has anyone else done this?

I have recently upgraded to both Windows 10 and on one of my Terminal Servers to Windows 2012 R2 When running the BIE's the top row is so dark that it is unreadable. For other operating levels, that was correctable by setting the Windows Theme to Classic Unfortunately, there is not a true Classic to make it readable.

When entering a sales order that has a different currency, the sales order does not calculate the conversion until I close the order reopen and drill into the conversion. If this doesn't happen, then the currency never gets converted and posts and flows through Avatax with an incorrect amount of tax. This is not an avatax issue, it's with Sage. Does anyone know what actual makes the conversions work?
We will be upgrading from 7.4 to v2016 Sage ERP 500. We are still currently running FRX reports under v7.4. Will FRX reports still run once we install v2016?
Our IT Tech group is pushing to upgrade our Windows 7 users to Windows 10. I can't find any compatibility documents that mention anything higher than Windows 8. Does anyone know if Windows 10 is approved yet?

We are running Sage ERP 500 and all of our users access Mas500 through Terminal Servers. When a new user is added how are the "Application.config" and UserLogin.dfl built. We are running Version 7.5 and when I look at some of the users "UserLogin.dfl file it either shows version 7.3 or version 7.4 or 7.5 - shouldn't they show all show 7.5?

I had to rename a user account in Active Directory due to marital status. For example.. TJJONES to TSMITH. When I try to add the user account I receive an error message. I am adding the account vis the System Manager, Maintetnance, Maintain Users. The changed user account (TSMITH) appears in the list of domain users.
WIndows NT user or group "domain_name\TSMITH" not found. Check the name again.
Cannot find the login "domain_name\TSMITH", because it does not exist or you do not have permission.
Any ideas?
I work mostly with Sage 100, so not familiar where to find this. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would help. Most specifically, I need it for version 7.50.2.0 to determine compatibility with Windows 10, etc.

I am experiencing Error 13 after upgrading our MAS 500 from 7.2.20 to 7.60.6. Strangely, error 13 didn't present itself during testing. The error appears when users are processing invoices for payment after clicking the proceed button. The messages reads

I constantly get this error when trying to Register Post in Process Inventory Transactions. I will also get it in other modules such as MF (Bill of Material Cost Roll up). There are no customization anywhere. I've uninstalled / re-installed the client but it still gives me the same error. I have upgraded and I still get the same error. Any thoughts?
